New York, (September 8, 2010) - British Designer, Misha Nonoo presented the Spring/ Summer 2011 season of her New York Based Collection, Nonoo, at The Flower Shop in New York City
Misha and her guests were transported to a garden oasis filled with fresh flowers, mosses and grasses courtesy of floral designers, Celadon and Celery, as well as the 13 latest jackets from Nonoo. An eclectic an lively crowd of editors and fashionistas sipped bloody marys nibbled on pastries while Misha shared her inspiration for this season and her thoughts about moving forward at the helm of Nonoo her sole creation. She said:
I have always been an advocate for the importance of a jacket in every lady's wardrobe and will continue to design with the same aesthetic and attention to unrivalled craftsmanship as in past seasons. I am extremely excited about this new chapter and to be taking Nonoo-Lyons to the next level simply as, Nonoo, with my singular vision
Models and body forms scattered around the sun-drenched room showed off the local artisanal tailoring that has become synonymous with the Nonoo name. European noble fabrics such as silks, Irish linens, washed leathers and lightweight summer tweeds make up this season's looks, with luxe trims including feathers, chains, studs and lacing
The inspiration for Spring 2011 came from Misha's style muses in the music world. Each jacket is named for one of these artists - and each has it's own personality to bring to this item - driven collection. Guests could not get enough of the new pieces - feverishly snapping pics and discussing their favourites - proving that Nonoo has once again successfully carried on the tradition of making a collection of lust worthy jackets for the timelessly elegant and daringly cool lady
